MICHELLE - OWNER OF MANASSAS ZIPS UNCOOPERATIVE
Dropped off a pair of pants to be cleaned. When I picked the pants up I noticed that one of the pants legs hem was missing.
I went back to the store right away. After looking at the pants, ZIPS took the pants back and said they would fix them hem. They gave me a receipt with NO CHARGE on it, and said the pants would be ready within the week. A few hours later they called me to say that there would be a charge for the pant leg to be re-hemmed.
I asked to speak to manager and was transferred to a woman named Michelle, who said she was a 'part-owner'. She said I must have 'caught my heel on the hem and took it out'. She said 'there is nothing more we can do for you.' I asked if there was someone else I could speak to. Michelle said 'no'.
I asked if there was a physical name and contact information for someone who might be able to give me customer service and satisfaction and she said 'no'. Then she told me that I could post my complaint on this site. I told her I would prefer to actually speak to a person.
She said that my comments would be directed to her. I have no idea how that is supposed to help me resolve this or where the customer service is?

TWO SILK BLOUSES SPOILED AT 321ZIPCLEANERS AND "NOTHING HAPPENED".
I am very disappointed and unhappy with your service. I got TWO SILK BLOUSES SPOILED in your "Professional Cleaning location in Essex".
I had to wait more than two weeks in order to get them "cleaned", and for my surprise this delay was because they were A MESS! The manager wasn't helpful at all. I have pictures of the damage and the receipt. I had 8 garmets "cleaned" at this location: five jackets (from my office suits) and three silk blouses.
The first time I went to pick them up, the jackets were not cleaned only ironed. The blouses were wet and not ironed. I asked for my money back and the manager assured me they will be ready the following week. When I came back the jackets were "OK" but the blouses "weren't ready".
The second time I came back, they took a long time to find them. I spent all my break waiting for them. THE SERVICE IS AWFUL! The manager gave me many excuses and not solutions.
I want to know what you are going to do with this. My blouses are: Ann Taylor Petite Silk Camp Shirt ($100.00 value) and Kasper Silk Streaked shirt ($100 value). Now I know it was a mistake trying to get a PROFESSIONAL service from a Company that offers such a cheap price.
I get my garments cleaned every week and I thought this will be an affordable option. HUGE MISTAKE!!!!

100% agree this location is a horrible store. Zips is loosing it reputation.
I worry about trying any other locatipns.
AVOID ZIPS, they are cheap, but eventually you'll pay. (They lost 2 shirts and tore 1, never compensated for)
